Council awards contract for housing sustainability project

The Eagle Grove City Council met by phone conference this past Monday night, and approved a bid for a housing sustainability project at 713 North Wright. Konomi Construction of Eldora was the successful bidder at $26,500. The resolution states that it is in the best interest of the City and its residents to encourage and aid in improvement of residences to then improve the overall well-being of the residents here. It includes improvements to the roof and exterior of the home along with some exterior work. The only other bid was for $36,367 from Gilman Services of Emmetsburg.
