Wright County began work to replace Bridge #211 on County Road 70 (330th St.) in Woolstock on Monday. By press time, demolition of the guardrail was complete, and removal of the old bridge had begun. The project is expected to take between 3 to 4 months to complete, weather permitting.
"The original bridge was built in the 1950's," said Marcus Spangler, Engineering Technician with the Wright County Engineer's Office, "what we're building is a 145 foot long, 30 foot wide, pre-tensioned, pre-stressed, concrete beam bridge, which should be much nicer."
