Thursday, July 9 was a very big day for a special lady in Eagle Grove. Margaret Madson celebrated her 101st birthday, and she did it in style despite COVID.
You could tell she was all smiles despite the fact that she had on a face mask as she sat outside Rotary Senior Living and watched the Eagle Grove Fire and Ambulance Departments come rolling up with lights and sirens going. Family and friends, including her great granddaughter and husband, Lexi and Ethan Rutter, came to share in the celebration - COVID-19 style to help her make her feel extra special.
