Wright County Public Health announces next round of COVID vaccine eligibility

Wright County Health Department will transition to 1b vaccine distribution priority population the first week of February. While it is unknown the total number of vaccines we will receive weekly, we continue to prepare. No doses will be left sitting on our shelves.  Wright County Health Department, along with Iowa Specialty Hospital, have determined  our vaccine clinic sites. 

 Belmond Catholic church clinic will be held Mondays,

 Eagle Grove Catholic Church Tuesdays. 

Clarion Presbyterian church Thursdays 

While the above sites are ongoing, Wright County Health Department will offer smaller sites at intervals in Dows, Goldfield and Rowan. 

These locations will be used throughout the vaccination process using SignUpGenius  https://sugeni.us/WTyk, watch this link for vaccine availability. This site will go live on February 1 for those fitting into the specified categories.  If you are unable to sign up electronically, please call Wright County Health Department for assistance (515-532-3461). These sign up slots will expand and contract depending on the number of vaccines available.  Upon receiving your first dose, you will be scheduled for the date and time of your second follow-up vaccine at the same location.  Ongoing public information will continue to be available through the Eagle Grove Eagle, the Wright County Monitor, the Belmond Independent, , and Wright County Public Health Website and Facebook. 

“While Wright County Health Department and Iowa’s Specialty Hospitals operate these clinics, Wright County Health Department will be working through Tier 1 priority groups (First responders, Fire, Law, and education staff)  as well as those 65 years and older throughout all the tiers,” said Sandy McGrath, public health administrator.
