Wright County Board of Health requires continued wearing of masks and social distancing
The Wright County Board of Health is asking residents, schools and businesses to continue to follow the directives set forth on November 10, 2020, concerning COVID precautionary measures. These include:
-
Masks are required in all public indoor spaces in Wright County. When a mask must be removed for eating, the individual should maintain at least a six foot distance from other individuals (who are not in their group in the case of a restaurant or bar).
-
Public gatherings should be limited to no more than 10 individuals unless both compliance with masking and a 6 foot distance between non-family groups can be consistently maintained.
-
All participants and spectators at any extracurricular school events should remain masked at all times and only parents are allowed to attend as in-person spectators. A six foot distance should be maintained between non-family groups at all times.
Wright County saw a decrease in numbers after these (and a few other) directives were put in place.
“This indicates our measure of increased mask wearing, social distancing, and compliance with public gathering restrictions have been effective,” said Sandy McGrath of Wright County Public Health. “Despite the Governor's new guidelines, we feel it is vitally important to keep these measures in place in our community. We are heading in the right direction with vaccines and we need to stay the course.”
