Sheila Cochran

Sheila R. Cochran, 55, of Camanche, passed away, Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2022 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics – Iowa City.

Funeral Services will be 11 a.m., Monday, Jan. 31 at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home. Sheila Rae Garrett was born on May 21, 1966 in Fort Dodge, the daughter of Don and Janet (Elliott) Garrett. She was a 1984 graduate of Eagle Grove High School and later graduated from the American Institute of Business in Des Moines. She married Darryl Cochran on August 20, 1988 in Eagle Grove.

Sheila was currently a para-educator at Camanche Elementary School. She had previously worked in the infant room at Kids First Academy. She loved children and working with kids. Sheila thought more about other people than herself and would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need. She enjoyed hiking, traveling, reading and watching movies. She loved visiting with everyone at family gatherings and attending baseball games.

Sheila is survived by her husband: Darryl of Camanche; their children: Michael Cochran of Clinton, Brooke (Kevin) Carrington of Waco, Texas, and Logan Cochran of Camanche; her father: Don (Connie) Garrett of Eagle Grove, her step-father: Delmar Kramersmeier of Eagle Grove; her sisters: Kristine (Joel) Zeller of Mt Pleasant, Wisconsin and Sandra (John) McGrath of Eagle Grove, step-sisters: Kristi Kramersmeier of Syracuse, New York, Julie Kramersmeier of Eagle Grove and Melissa Garrett Robinson of Lexington, Kentucky, her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Glen and Carolyn Cochran of Eagle Grove, and brother-in-laws: Dale (Michelle) Cochran of Urbandale, and Doug (Lori McClure) Cochran of Des Moines; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother: Janet Kramersmeier on October 22, 2020.
