Robert McCutcheon

Robert Neal McCutcheon, the son of Lawrence and Lorine (Reitcher) McCutcheon, was born on March 30, 1933, in Goldfield, Iowa. He attended country school in Goldfield and graduated with the Goldfield “Class of 1951”

Robert was united in marriage to Patricia Brown on June 2, 1957 at the First Baptist Church, in Eagle Grove. Together they had two children, Marcia and Kevin.

Robert worked as a milkman and Boone Valley for many years until retirement.

Robert enjoyed working on cars at a young age and was very family centered, spending most of his time with his family including “sibling suppers” that he attended every other week and coffee at Lyle’s Ford.

Robert passed away on Friday, September 13, 2024, at Rotary Senior Living in Eagle Grove, at the age of 91 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia McCutcheon; son, Kevin McCutcheon and parents.

Survivors include his daughter, Marcy (Bob) Kressin; grandchildren: Kacey Rutledge (Alex), Kyle Kressin, Kari McCutcheon and Kolten McCutcheon (Karly); great-grandchildren: Chayse, Rory, Wesley, Susie, CC, Lucy, Melenah, Morgann and Kyler; siblings: Marilyn Eittreim, Roger McCutcheon (Jeri) and Karen Terry (Jonnie), and grand-dogs: Murphy and Maggie.

A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 17, at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Eagle Grove, with visitation at 9:30 a.m. until service time. Burial was at Rose Hill Cemetery following the service.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
