Nancy Jacobson

Nancy Anne Jacobson was born on April 2, 1955, in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Bernie and Anne Case. She was raised and educated in Clarion, graduating from Clarion High School in 1973 and Iowa Central in 1974.

On Aug. 19, 1973, Nancy married John A. Jacobson at the United Church of Christ in Clarion. They had two children, Brad and Jennifer.

Nancy worked for her father’s grocery store, B & W Grocery in Clarion, Security Savings Bank, Lewrights, and A & J Construction. She was a member of the Samuel Lutheran Church.

Nancy enjoyed traveling, reading, going to see live music, and playing the flute. Nancy loved spending time with friends and family.

Nancy died on Friday, Sept. 29, 2023, at the Paula J. Baber hospice house in Fort Dodge, at the age of 68 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Tommy Case; and mother and father-in-law, Betty and Al Jacobson.

Nancy is survived by her husband of 50 years, John A. Jacobson; children: Brad A. (Julie) Jacobson and Jennifer Jacobson; grandchildren, Asher, Isla, and Evelyn; brothers: R. Scott (Nancy) Case and Jeff Desen; sister, Tamy McBeth; and good friends, Carol Frakes and Kirstan Myers.
