Eagle Grove — Gayle Ellen (Dooley) Morgan, the daughter of Marvin and LaVonne (Martinson) Dooley was born on February 8, 1951, in Norfolk, Virginia and lived in Biggar Saskatchewan, Canada before moving to Eagle Grove in 1966, her sophomore year. Gayle was selected Homecoming Queen in the fall of 1968 and graduated from Eagle Grove in the “Class of 1969”. Gayle then attended ICCC in Eagle Grove.

On September 9, 1972, Gayle was united in marriage to John Allen Morgan, Jr. in Eagle Grove. They made their home and raised their boys on the family farm near Thor until 2007 when they moved to Eagle Grove.

Gayle was devoted to her family and the Lord. Her kindness, generosity, and smile were genuine and infectious. She could often be found at Church events during the day and numerous sporting events at night cheering on her grandkids.

Gayle passed away peacefully on Sunday July 3, 2022, in her home at the age of 71. She was preceded in death by her husband John Allen (2013), her parents, her mother and father-in-law John and Ovedia Morgan, her brothers-in-law Phil Nelson and Roger Morgan, sisters-in-law Mary (Morgan) Middleton and Shirley Morgan.

Gayle is survived by her three sons: Linc Morgan and wife Myndi and their children, Laine and Blake of Eagle Grove, Tate Morgan and wife Tori and their children, Jaxon, Cash, Cruze of Eagle Grove, and Boone Morgan and wife Lindsay and their children Mack and Mya of Eagle Grove. Sisters: Bonnie Nelson of Independence, DeDe Wagner and husband Jim of West Bend, WI, and Kathy Hinderaker and husband Dale of Radcliffe. Brothers: Tim Dooley and wife Barb of Eagle Grove and Dan Dooley and wife Mindy of Emmetsburg. Brothers-in-law: Ronnie Morgan of Eagle Grove, Harold Middleton of Clarion. Sister-in-law Diana Morgan formerly of Goldfield as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation was Thursday, July 7, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Foust Funeral Home. Funeral services were Friday, 10 a.m. at Samuel Lutheran Church.

Memorials may be left to the discretion off the family.
