Christie Lynne Jensen
Christie Lynne Jensen, the daughter of Kenneth M. and Marilyn K. (Pardun) Jensen, was born on June 23, 1963, in Fort Dodge, Iowa. She was raised and educated in Eagle Grove graduating with the “Class of 1981”. Christie received her R.N. degree from Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge in 1983.
Christie started her nursing career at Harding Medical Clinic in Eagle Grove before moving to Billings, Montana in 1986. In 1993, she moved back to Eagle Grove where she worked for Rotary Ann Homes until 1998, when she then worked for McFarland Clinic in Webster City. Christie retired from nursing in 2016, due to her health.
Christie was a member of Evangelical Lutheran Church in Eagle Grove. She was an avid reader, enjoyed fishing and was a “Professional Shopper”.
Christie passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at Rotary Senior Living in Eagle Grove at the age of 58 years. She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Jensen in 2010; paternal grandparents, Joe and Minnie (Sandwick) Jensen and maternal grandparents, Lloyd and Arlene (Brewster) Pardun.
Survivors include her children; Jordan Harding (Abby) of Des Moines, Holly Lawson (Kaleb) of Adel, Briauna Mingus of Eagle Grove and Greer Mingus of Eagle Grove; grandson, Finn Lawson of Adel and a granddaughter coming soon; mother, Marilyn Jensen of Eagle Grove; brother, Dr. Curt Jensen (LeAnn) of Marshfield, MO; nephew, Bryan Jensen as well as other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 9, 2021, at Evangelical Lutheran Church in Eagle Grove with Pastor Jason Cooper celebrating. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove.
