Eagle season baseball stats, all conference selections

Eagle Grove head baseball coach Jordan Miller has now released his team’s final overall stats along with where they finished in Top of Iowa-West action. Also included are the 2017 All-Conference selections.

The team finished at 15-12 overall, with a 9-7 record in divisional play. Forest City won the division at 15-1, followed by Garner-Hayfield/Ventura at 13-3, Bishop Garrigan and Lake Mills at 10-6 and the Eagles. Niko Padilla was chosen for the 1st Team in balloting, with Sam Johnson, Carlos Lobato and John Mosley all making the 2nd Team. Brayden Lyman received an Honorable Mention spot on the list.

As a team, the Eagles had 740 total at-bats to produce 158 runs on 216 hits. There were 39 doubles, seven triples and one homerun. A total of 125 RBI were produced. There were 30 sac fly’s, 76 walks taken and 50 stolen bases in 59 attempts. The team had a .292 collective batting average, with a .368 collective slugging percentage.
