Wright Warriors prepare for Wright County Fair under new leadership

Bryan and Allison Whaley both have an extensive past in 4-H, but this year as they head off to the county fair, they will be taking on a whole new role - as Club Leaders of the Wright Warriors of Eagle Grove.

Allison joined 4-H in Howard County (Lime Springs, Iowa) in third grade. She belonged to both an all-girls club (with her mom, Mary Steen, serving as the leader) as well as a Horse Project Club. Throughout her 10-year involvement, she entered countless static exhibits and animal shows. She also participated in a lot of community projects. Before Allison began her senior year, she applied for a State Project Award - and won and got to go to the 1991 National 4-H Conference in Chicago, which is where she met her future husband, Bryan.
