Wrestling team goes 3-1 in Dual meets at Algona Tourney

The Eagle Grove wrestling team took part in the Martin Family Invitational Dual Tournament last Saturday at Algona. The Eagles won three of their four encounters for the day, defeating Forest City 48-18, West Hancock 37-32 and North Union 66-18. Their only loss was to the host Bulldogs 41-26.

Versus the Indians, pin points were scored by Derek Graham, Evan Anderson, Brayden Lyman and Dylan Kruckenberg. Saxon Lyman took a 9-4 decision and Aidan Vrba a 12-10 win.

Versus the Eagles of West Hancock, falls were recorded by Jacob Graham and Brayden Lyman. Saxon took an 11-3 major decision, while Joel Mendoza won 4-2. Three others won by forfeit.

Versus the Warriors, Cole Grandgeorge, Gabe Rolon, Dawson Lalor, Anderson, Brayden Lyman and Mendoza all won by fall with five others having their hand raised by forfeit.
