Wrestling team defeats Newman

Last Thursday night, the Eagle Grove wrestling team finished off their pre-holiday schedule by traveling to a dual meet at Manson City. Newman Catholic hosted the Eagles, Saint Ansgar and North Butler- Clarksville. They squeaked out a close 48-36 win over the Knights, but also lost 43-36 to the Saints and 45-36 to the Bearcats.

In the dual with the Knights, action started at 195 pounds as Aidan Vrba lost his match. Isaac Olson (220) took a forfeit win, which set off a string of Eagle wins from there and all by fall.
