Vasquez is new EGHS Principal

When the students at Eagle Grove High School return back for the 2019 - 2020 school year, there will be a new face in charge. Heidi Vasquez, originally from Minnesota, has been hired as the new principal there.

Vasquez earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Life Science Teaching from Minnesota State University, Mankato. While teaching at MCHS, Vasquez earned a Masters Degree in biology from the University of Nebraska, Kearney. When she decided she would like to serve teachers and get more into the administration end of education, she enrolled at Drake University where she earned an Ed. Specialist in Educational Leadership. Her quest for learning continues today as she is currently working on a Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction through Capella University.

“While teaching, I realized that each teacher has a profound impact on students. Teachers are the “difference-maker” or “change agent” in the lives of many students. I am very passionate about the impact we can have on students,” Vasquez said.
