State send-off for Golden Stars Drill Team

The Eagle Grove Golden Stars have been preparing for months...and now they are ready to leave it all on the dance fl oor as they head to the nation’s largest high school and collegiate State Drill Team dance competition in Des Moines at the end of the month. On Thursday, Nov. 30, they will be competing against teams from across the state in three divisions:

9 a.m. - Jazz

1:54 p.m. - Kick

4:09 p.m. - Pom

These performances do not come without a lot of long hours of choreographing, memorizing, and perfecting routines. Part of this process also includes a pre-state performance during what has become the traditional send-off performance.
