RBMS forms Student Council

It’s been many years since Robert Blue Middle School has had a Student Council, but now, thanks to 2018 Eagle Grove High School graduate and former Student Council President, Chase Quintus, it’s making a comeback.

After graduation, Quintus said he considered the college route, but ultimately decided it wasn’t what he wanted to do - at least not right away. Instead, he wanted to get back into the school system that gave him so many opportunities and make a difference in the lives of the next generation, so he accepted a job as a para educator at RBMS.

“I really enjoy working with the kids and building connections with them,” Quintus said, admitting that he enjoys it even more than he thought he would.

But Quintus wanted to do even more. Last year, as the EGHS Student Council President, he approached RBMS Principal Scott Jeske and asked him about regenerating a Student Council at RBMS. Time got away from them and that never happened, so with Quintus’ presence in the middle school this year, he figured why not revisit the idea. This time, they got things going right away.
