Raymond Loux

Raymond Charles William Loux, the son of Charles T. and Josephine (Hilpipre) Loux, was born on December 14, 1922, in Wright County, Iowa.  He was raised and educated in the area of his birth and graduated from Eagle Grove High School in 1940. 

On June 29, 1952, Raymond was united in marriage with Bernice Jensen at the Danish Lutheran Church in Humboldt.   The couple lived on a farm east of Eagle Grove until moving into town in November of 1987.  Bernice preceded him in death in 2008.  Raymond moved to Rotary Senior Living in 2014.

Raymond was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Woolstock – serving as church organist for 69 years and he also taught Sunday school.  Raymond and Bernice worked for Elderbridge on Aging, serving as advocates for seniors and they were very involved with Senior Citizens Center – especially BINGO.  He also enjoyed woodworking.  

Raymond passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2022, at Rotary Senior Living, at the of 99 years.   He was also preceded in death by his parents and brother, George Loux.

Survivors include his nephews, Michael Loux and wife Lori of Eagle Grove and Kevin Loux and wife Belinda of Marion; six great nieces and nephews and many great great nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 7, 2022, 10:30 a.m. at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Eagle Grove with Pastor Mark Eichler officiating.  Visitation was one hour prior to service time at the church.  Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
