The Eagle Grove Eagle’s new marketing consultant, Lynette James, is full of ambition, enthusiasm, and great ideas to help area businesses get a jump on their 2018 marketing plan. Whether you’re after local shoppers or looking to bring a new crowd to your business, James has the tools to make it happen and we’re excited to have her as part of our newspaper family.

James’ first day on the job was November 9. She actually started in a design assistant position, splitting her hours between the Eagle and our sister paper, the Wright County Monitor. But, having graduated from Belmond High School in 1989, and having lived in Clarion for the last 19 years, she felt she could better use her familiarity with the area filling the role of advertising rep for the Eagle and the Monitor when the position opened up. She began her new duties just after the first of this year.

“While working in the role of assistant in both the Clarion and Eagle Grove offices has been fantastic and given me the opportunity to learn some of the internal workings of the machine that is the newspaper, I believe that working with the advertisers and the people of both Clarion and Eagle Grove will help grow the newspapers and build on what are both long-standing great weekly publications for Wright County,” James said. “When I heard that Frankie (our former sales rep) was moving on outside of the company I jumped at the opportunity. I love working with people, getting out from behind the desk and meeting the faces of the people who keep all of these surrounding towns in Wright County going so strong. I live here, I work here and I believe in Wright County residents and businesses.”
