Prestage Foods of Iowa partners with two companies for major plant service contracts

Prestage Foods of Iowa, LLC has signed major service contracts with United Vending and Food Services of North Sioux City, SD and CITY Laundry of Oelwein, IA. The new business partnerships will create jobs in Wright County in addition to the over 1000 positions the plant will have available in the fall of 2018.

In February, Prestage Foods signed with United Vending for the design and operation of a full-service cafeteria within the new plant. The kitchen and cafeteria in the new plant covers approximately 13,000 square feet, and at peak break times will serve over 500 team members.

“The required service level within our cafeteria must allow team members to be served and seated within three minutes so they are able to rest and enjoy their food,” says Terry Friesth, business analyst of Prestage Foods of Iowa. “United Vending showed us that they have the expertise to design a cafeteria that has ability to serve many in a short time, and an extensive menu that will be affordable.”
