Police Report of shots fired on 12-6-18

PRESS RELEASE: Eagle Grove Police received a report of shots fired in the area of Railroad Ave and SE 2nd Street shortly after 6 a.m. Thursday morning, Dec. 6. It was reported that a male driving a silver pickup had fired multiple shots towards a bus owned by Union Pacific Railroad. The bus was occupied at the time by several workers. The vehicle left the area and was located near the intersection of Blaine and NE 1st Street. The male suspect was observed in the doorway of a nearby residence with a weapon. The suspect eventually exited the residence and was taken into custody. The Eagle Grove Police Department has charged Jason Bouska, age 38, with intimidation with a Dangerous Weapon, Class C Felony, and Going Armed with Intent Class D Felony. Assisting the Eagle Grove Police Department with the incident were the Wright County Sheriff's Office, Iowa State Patrol, Iowa DOT Motor Vehicle Enforcement and agents with the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation and Union Pacific Railroad Police. It should be noted that a criminal charge is merely an accusation and all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
