PAC over Eagles 52-8

It was a thrilling moment last Friday night in Pocahontas when Mark Dawson stepped in front of a pass deep in Eagle territory and returned it 85 yards for a score. Trouble was, there weren’t near enough other moments similar to that in a 52-8 Eagle loss to the Indians.

Roberto Calles ran the ball 13 times for 23 yards, and was joined in backfield chores by Francisco Gonzalez with eight carries for 17 yards and Jake Darland with three totes for 12 yards. Peyton Larsen managed seven yards of rushing offense. Nick Huntley scored a two-point conversion following Dawson’s touchdown. Darland could not complete a pass in six attempts and was picked off once.

Gonzalez kicked off twice for a 42.5-yard average, and booted five punts for a 26-yard average. Calles ran back four kicks for a 21.3-yard average, while Huntley ran back one for 33 yards and Dawson one for 16 yards.
