Our Foundation for the Future has a new look

Our Foundation for the Future has been promoting and helping to improve the quality of life in Eagle Grove, Thor, Vincent, and Woolstock since 1977.  This non-profit organization, in it’s goal to help identify and rectify unmet needs of the communities, has supported such projects as the Wright Medical Wellness Center, the Eagle Grove Museum, the Eagle Grove High School weight room, the Thor Main Street Improvement Project, Dollars for Scholars, Thor and Woolstock park improvements, Eagle Grove Fishpond Park, the Veterans Memorial Tower, and Jaycee Skateboard Park, just to name a few.

In their never-ending quest to raise funds for these projects,
the volunteer board members are hoping their newly designed website (found at www.ourfoundationforthefuture.org) will help boost their presence in the minds of people looking to make contributions to their communities, be it they live there now, or grew up there as a child and are looking for a way to give back.

“It is a pleasure being part of the board as they have helped fund many worthy projects that benefit the town I grew up in and am raising my own family in,” said board member Lindsay Morgan.  “The board is on the lookout for more projects to support and hopefully the new website will assist in getting the word out about the foundation and our willingness to help better the community we all call home.”

Fellow board member Beth Linn added, “I’ve enjoyed being on the board of Our Foundation for the Future for four years now. It’s a wonderful organization that has helped fund many of the things we see and use every day.  The foundation is funded by personal donations of any amount, monies left through estates and bequeaths, etc.  We go through a grant process where we distribute and accept Grant Applications twice a year in February and August.  The board reviews the application requests and votes on whether to fund the project or not.  We want to make sure the requests meet the guidelines set for the foundation and that it is for the betterment of Eagle Grove, Thor, Vincent or Woolstock.” Keeping reading on your Eagle Grove Eagle E-edtion!
