Muzzeys open their home and their hearts to children in need

2,500 kids in 2015 were in need of foster homes; yet there were only 2,300 licensed foster families in the state. These children entered the foster care system through no fault of their own, but rather because they have often times experienced neglect, abandonment, or even abuse. That is why May has been designated as National Foster Care Month - in hopes of finding more families who are willing to answer the call to help a child in need by offering them a temporary home until the child can be reunited with their birth family or find a new permanent home with an adoptive family.
