Music Boosters continue to drum up bigger and better things for students

Music is the universal language - a means of communicating that everyone can understand no matter the language you speak. Yet all too often, it is the fine art programs, like music, that struggle to succeed in many schools. In Eagle Grove, however, we are fortunate to have a group of supporters who continue to strive to keep the music playing, whether the students be in band or choir; elementary, middle, or high school. They call themselves the Music Boosters, and they are hoping you will join them in supporting their cause.

The Eagle Grove Music Boosters were officially reestablished in the fall of 2013, when concerned parents and educators got together to come up with new and innovative ways to support music in our classrooms. Uniforms were getting old. Instruments were breaking. There were camps students wanted to attend...and so much more. But where would the money come from? They decided to take action, make a plan, and make a change - and that’s exactly what they’ve done, and continue to do.

What they’ve accomplished

This motivated group, through the support of the community and volunteers, have been able to accomplish many great things in a short amount of time. In three years, they’ve:

- Purchased new high school marching band uniforms

- Purchased new marching band drums for the middle school

- Purchased new polo shirts for the middle school band to wear during concerts/competitions
