Morgan signs with NIACC to play softball

Laine Morgan admitted that she always knew she wanted to play softball at NIACC, and now she’s officially an incoming member of the Trojan recruiting class after signing with them last week.

“I visited the campus and I liked it,” said the senior. “I also liked the coaches. While I had considered Iowa Central, at one time, I felt it would be good for me to go a little further away and off by myself while still being fairly close to home.”

Morgan feels that head coach Dan Gratz will be a good coach to play for. “He’s built the program up, and has done a good job, so I’m excited to join them and see what I can do,” said Morgan.
