Mel Sampson is 2015 Allbaugh Award winner

Mel Sampson has spent 48 years as an accountant (five as an IRS agent), 43 years as a Rotary Homes business board member, 26 years as President of the Board of Directors for the Rotary Board, is the current Rotary Board treasurer, and served on the Chamber of Commerce Board. He also served on the first board to study and start the Eagle’s Wings Child Care Center, was one of the committee people who brought the new Eagle Grove Memorial Library to town, and served two terms on the Community Development Board (CDC) - even serving as president.

This is just the tip of the iceberg of committees served on and offices held in Eagle Grove for Mel Sampson. To honor his committment to the betterment of this community, he was presented with the 2015 Allbough Award during the annual Eagle Grove Chamber/CDC Banquet held Monday evening, Jan. 25 at the Eagle Grove Country Club.
