McGrath reports on storm damage in Eagle Grove

Sandy McGrath, the Mayor of Eagle Grove, updated the supervisors on the work done to repair serious damage from the Sunday morning storms in Eagle Grove.

As of Monday morning, McGrath estimated that threefourths of the town had power again, and all public right-of-ways were open with at least one lane after cleaning up downed branches and power lines.

Due to a significant water pressure loss, “We did unfortunately have to go with a boil advisory,” McGrath said, though no known contamination took place. The cause of the pressure loss is being investigated. McGrath was hopeful that the boil advisory could be lifted sometime on Tuesday.
