Lady Eagles third at Dick Bell, fourth at South Hamilton

The Eagle Grove girls cross country team made a fine showing at their home Dick Bell Invitational last Tuesday, taking third in class B. Emmetsburg was team champion with 51 points, followed closely by Newman Catholic at 53 points. The Eagles had 60 points, and were followed by: West Fork 84, Bishop Garrigan 123, Belmond-Klemme 170 and North Iowa 185.

Megan Schafer was the top finisher, posting a 22:10.06 for sixth place. She was followed on the team by: Megan Sampson at eighth in 22:28.21; Kaitlin Sampson at 10th in 22:42.55; Lea Friedl at 15th in 22:58.43; Brianna Ell at 26th in 23:44.77; Alecia Anderson at 32nd in 25:01.88; Ari Lyman at 58th in 28:46.78; Heidi Garcia at 59th in 29:32.45; Emma Nett at 63rd in 30:44.17 and Lyn Nguyen at 66th in 30:59.25.
