Lady Eagles put a game in win column

The Eagle Grove varsity girls basketball team broke a seven game losing streak last Tuesday in Belmond, defeating the Broncos 63-58 in overtime. The score was 27-25 in favor of the Lady Eagles at the half, and tied at 50-50 at the end of regulation play.

Three ladies finished in double digit scoring, led by Natalie Vrba at 18 points. Ari Lyman followed by netting 16 points with Jordan Kastler finishing at 10 points. Kenzie Crail and Hannah Sampson both scored six points each, with Kaitlin Sampson at five points and Lea Friedl at two points. Vrba enjoyed a double-double by ripping down 12 boards. Kastler grabbed seven caroms, with Hannah and Lyman at five each. Brittney Osborn and Kaitlin had three rebounds each, Friedl two and Crail one.

Hannah dished the pumpkin for six assists, with Friedl credited with three and both Crail and Osborn two each.
