Lady Eagles lose to North Iowa 47-39

The Eagle Grove varsity girls basketball team went on the road last Tuesday, January 2 to open the 2018 portion of their schedule at North Union in Armstrong. They lost to the Warriors 70-19, and faced a 43-10 halftime deficit. Ari Lyman scored seven points, Natalie Vrba six points and both Lea Friedl and Jordan Kastler three points each.

Kastler led the rebounding column with six, followed by Vrba and Lyman getting four apiece. Kenzie Crail, Hannah Sampson and Kaitlin Sampson all got their hands on two caroms each, with Mariana Gonzalez, Jozey Gump, Friedl and Shea Whaley all contributing one apiece. Kastler made an assist, while Hannah picked off two steals and both Vrba and Kastler one each.
