Lady Eagles hit their stride at State Meet

The sun rose the morning of October 28th with cool temperatures and the Lady Eagles departing for the state cross country meet at Lakeside Golf Course in Fort Dodge. The Eagles were looking to continue their late season stride against a very strong 1A field.

Back in August I set three goals for this team at our team meeting, being a ranked team, winning the conference title, and qualifying for the state meet. I told the girls so far we hit a single being ranked, double winning the 18 team conference race, and a triple with our state qualifying performance. Let’s use baseball terminology and hit for the cycle and finish off 2017 with a solid performance at the state meet. The girls didn’t let themselves, their families, fans, or myself down with their performance.
