Hildebrand is EGHS 2015 Homecoming Grand Marshal

Each year, the senior class chooses one person whom they feel has been an important part of their life throughout their school career... and they invite him or her to be their Homecoming Grand Marshal. Some have been coaches. Some have been that one outstanding Eagle fan who has come to all the games and shown their unwavering support. Still others have been business owners or community members who have supported them in other ways. Well this year’s 2015 Eagle Grove High School Homecoming Grand Marshal is a former middle school teacher - Kathy Hildebrand.

Kathy spent 21 years in the Eagle Grove Area Community School District. She worked as a Talented and Gifted (TAG) teacher for one year, a fifth grade teacher for five years, and a sixth grade teacher the remaining years. But Kathy didn’t only work with kids in the classroom, she was involved in their lives after school as well, serving as a high school and middle school drama coach, producing 32 plays. Kathy also served as a mentor teacher, helping new, young teachers get their feet wet in their first jobs. She was even an “Eagle Time” class advisor.
