Friday evening fire in downtown EG

Emergency personnel were called into action Friday evening, May 20, around 6 p.m. Smoke was billowing from the former C&K Interior building. Crews were able to contain the situation, but there reportedly was smoke damage to three adjacent businesses. “All departments involved did an excellent job,” said Mayor Sandy McGrath, who was on the scene helping with clean-up that night.
