Free Community Thanksgiving Feast will be held in EG on Thursday, Nov. 23

What would you say if someone was willing to do the Thanksgiving cooking for you? All you had to do was show up and enjoy the company of those around you? Well that’s exactly what you can do right here in Eagle Grove as Bert Aukland, along with her family and friends, are once again hosting a Free Community Thanksgiving Feast at Memorial Hall on Thursday, Nov. 23. The meal will be served from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.

This will be the eighth yearin- a-row that Aukland, with the help of family and friends, has hosted a community Thanksgiving Feast in Eagle Grove. The meal is completely free for everyone regardless of age, income, or ability. It’s a Thanksgiving meal that truly provides you with something to be thankful for.

“Last year was probably the biggest year yet,” Aukland said as she gets busy preparing for this year’s celebration. According to her best estimation, they served over 200 people.
