Feeding the hungry

Are you finding it hard to put food on your family’s table? In today’s economy, it’s more common than most people even realize. Despite efforts to trim back the family budget, there are too many families who still can’t afford the groceries they need for proper nutrition.

If you, or someone you know, is in this situation, then help is arriving soon. On Tuesday, Oct. 6, Food Bank of Iowa will be bringing a Mobile Pantry Program to Eagle Grove (for the very first time) - FREE OF CHARGE!

Groceries will be handed out to anyone in need from 4:30 - 6 p.m. at Memorial Hall, 200 S. Park Ave. You only need to bring a bag/box to take them home in, and fill out a one-page, self-declared income eligibility sheet. It will require your name, phone number, zip code, and a signature saying you meet income guidelines, and that’s it. There is no need to bring documents to prove your income.
