Escape Room coming to Eagle Grove

There will be no escaping a good time if you participate in the Eagle Grove After-Prom fundraiser being held Friday, Jan. 3 and Saturday, Jan. 4, 2020.  The committee has arranged for a mobile Escape Room to be at Rails in Eagle Grove for two days of challenges, fun, and FUNdraising.

Angie Bodholdt, one of the parents on the After Prom committee, said they were just brainstorming one night trying to come up with different ideas for the kids to do.  That’s when an online search led them to a mobile Escape Room company out of Gilmore City.  It was exactly what they were looking for, and it also provided an opportunity to be a fundraiser as well.

The Escape Room on January 3 and 4 will challenge groups ages middle school and older (maximum 10 people at a time) to try and figure out the clues that will help them unlock the room’s door.  You might have to decipher a clue that gives you the code to spell a word that is the key to a paddle lock.  You might have to read a paragraph that contains a hidden message within it that leads you to the answer, or a variety of other things.  In order to be successful, you have to uncover these clues and solve the problems within an hour.  Time slots are available from 3 - 8 p.m. on Friday, and 11 a.m. - 8 p.m. on Saturday.  Online preregistration assures you your time slot and that your group can all go at the same time.
