Eagle Grove Greenhouses, Inc has a preventive measure

Ash trees are no longer recommended for planting in the Midwest because of the threat of emerald ash borer (EAB), a highly-destructive wood-boring insect pest, according to Iowa State Extension Diagnostic Guide. 70 percent of urban trees are ash species, and about 25 percent of trees in the Eagle Grove area are ash trees according to Eagle Grove Greenhouse expert, Chad Wilde.
