Election results show new Council, School Board members

Mayor Sandra McGrath and two incumbent Council members were returned to office by voters last Tuesday, but it is still to be determined what will happen in Ward 3. Gary Lalor received 46 votes, however he had decided to drop out of the race and yet it was too late to remove his name from the ballot. According to McGrath, there has been nothing officially from Lalor on dropping out so he is considered elected and can be sworn into office. McGrath explained that nothing can happen until at least mid-January, at which time Lalor can either assume the seat being vacated by Denny Vandewater or the Council will consider the seat vacant until the next election.

The final numbers show McGrath getting 106 votes (13 write-in’s), Al Pamperin in Ward 1 getting 18 votes (two) and Mike Weland the At-Large candidate getting 117 votes (five).

The Public Measure concerning the revenue purpose statement was approved with 155 voters voting yes and only 31voters saying no.
