EGHS Senior Walk 2018

Eagle Grove High School seniors had a busy schedule last week. T hey fi nished up t heir last c ourse work, gathered for a senior breakfast, headed out into the community to spend a day giving back, and made final preparations for Commencement and t heir p arties. B ut t here w as o ne o ther t hing t hey h ad t o do before they got to walk across their stage and receive their diploma - and that was take a trip down memory lane.

On Friday, May 18, before Commencement practice, the soon-to-be-graduates walked the hallways of Robert Blue Middle School and the Eagle Grove Elementary, dressed in their caps and gowns. It’s a new tradition in Eagle Grove that began last year - and it’s not only enjoyed by the seniors, but it’s exciting for the young students as well. For the seniors, it gives them the chance to walk the hallways and realize how much they’ve grown; how much they’ve learned; and how quickly the years have flown by. For the elementary and middle school students, it gives them inspiration to graduate - something to look forward to.

As the seniors walked proudly up a nd down the hallways of RBMS and Eagle Grove Elementary, the students lined the hallways, c heering a nd c lapping f or t hem. T he e lementary students also each took a designated seniors name and made a poster for them to hold up when they walked by, wishing them congratulations and good luck.
