EG Summerfest this weekend

Last year’s bike parade.

Summerfest is the official kickoff to Summer fun in Eagle Grove.

For decades, families, friends, and visitors have been coming out to enjoy some good old fashioned small town fun...and you’re invited to join in.

Events begin Friday evening, June 14 from 5 - 6 p.m. with a chance to be creative. Chalk, paint and stencils will be provided by the Eagle Grove Area Chamber of Commerce for anyone and everyone to come help “Chalk the Walk” on Broadway in front of the 200 block of Broadway. You most certainly do not have to be an artist. Variety is the spice of life so whether you draw a mini-masterpiece or your write a fun message, the Chamber hopes you will participate.

At 7 p.m.. you’re invited to head out to the Wright County Fairgrounds show arena and enjoy a FREE outdoor movie, courtesy of Security Savings Bank. “A Dog’s Way Home” will be showing. Bring your blankets, stadium seats, and your friends/family and enjoy a great show, some fresh air, and some free movie snacks. It’s always a great time.
