Eagles still searching for their next volleyball win

The Eagle Grove varsity volleyball team hosted a triangular last Thursday involving Southeast Valley and St. Edmond. In the first match versus the Jaguars, they lost in straight sets 25-21 and 25-19. Team serving was a 79.5 percent, with Hallie Jeske going 10 of 10 and Laine Morgan 8 of 8 (one ace). Sadie Stuhr was 4 of 4 and McKenzie Crail 6 of 8 (one).

Stuhr set for nine assists and Morgan eight. Natalie Vrba had eight kills to lead the attack, with Crail, Hannah Demory and Morgan all pounding three kills each. Hannah Beecher and Jeske added two each from their spots on the floor. Beecher and Crail had 11 digs each, with Jeske coming up with nine and both Morgan and Vrba six saves of the ball apiece.
