After finishing a strong season, which saw a bunch of dual wins, the Eagle Grove wrestling team will culminate it this week in Des Moines by being represented with three wrestlers on the mats at Wells Fargo Arena. Even though it will be the first time in that atmosphere for all of them, they all have a legitimate chance of going deep into their respective brackets.

The team finished seventh at the twelve-team Class 1A District at Manson, and will advance Saxon Lyman (152), Brayden Lyman (170) and Joel Mendoza (220) to the eight-mat extravaganza this week. Lake Mills (LM) took top team honors with 116 points, followed in the top three by Emmetsburg (E) with 85 points and Graettinger- Terril/R-A (GTRA) with 66 points.
