Eagles pound on Broncos 61-36

With three players scoring in double figures, the Eagle Grove varsity boys basketball team easily defeated Belmond- Klemme 61-36 last Tuesday on the Broncos home floor. They were totally in command by halftime, taking a 32-15 lead into the locker room.

Spencer Espejo pumped in 23 points, including five buckets from beyond the arc. John Mosley netted 12 points with four treys and Ryan Smith 11 points with one trey. Austin Hill chipped in four points, Niko Padilla three points and Enzo Gebara, Nick Halverson, Ben Nessa and Logan Hansen all a bucket apiece. Padilla grabbed eight balls off the glass, with Hill adding five rebounds to his stat line. Chase Blasi and Mosley got their mitts on four caroms each, with Espejo at three and both Gebara and Smith two rebounds each. Halverson and Hansen had one apiece.

Padilla was busy dishing the pumpkin for 12 huge assists. Mo Friedl and Nessa had two apiece, with Espejo, Smith and Hill all at one each. Padilla picked off four steals, with Espejo making three thefts and Gebara, Smith and Hill two each. Mosley finished with one. Hill went vertical for two blocked shots.
