Eagles play well in wild 12-10 loss to Panthers Freshman Morgan drives in three runs

In a wild home game last Wednesday, the Eagle varsity baseball team took a 9-5 lead into the top of the seventh. However, they couldn’t slam the door on a Central Springs seven-run rally to pull out a 12- 10 Panther win.

Nick Halverson went 3 for 5 with a double and two scored. Blake Morgan had quite a night in his freshman debut, going 2 for 2 with three RBI and a run scored. Mark Dawson was 2 for 3, while Leo Calles swatted out a double in his only connection at the plate. He also crossed home plate twice. Jordan Morris, Cayden Schultz and Chris Williams all added singles, with Morris driving in two runs and both Schultz and Williams one apiece.

Thomas Matthes crossed twice, Andrew Dencklau scored a run and batted one in and Caden Bennett also scored once as a pinch runner.
