Eagles play three matches in week

The Eagle Grove varsity volleyball team continues to search for a winning roll heading into the upcoming regional play. They started the week with a loss at North Union last Tuesday by scores of 25-11, 25-13 and 25-11. Team serving was at 80.6 percent, with Sadie Stuhr going 7 of 7 and Kenzie Crail 6 of 7. Hallie Jeske was 5 of 5, Hannah Beecher 5 of 7 and Laine Morgan 4 of 5. Natalie Vrba made good on two of her three serve attempts.

Stuhr set the ball for seven assists, with Morgan making five and Jeske one. Vrba pounded four kills, with Morgan getting in on three and both Beecher and Hannah Demory two apiece. Crail and Michelle Mericle each added one kill to the attack. Crail made three digs, with Jeske and Vrba coming up with two each. Beecher, Mericle and Stuhr all had one save of the ball each. Beecher made two solo blocks, with Morgan getting two block assists and both Beecher and Vrba one apiece, in net defense.
