Eagles play matches with Garrigan, Lake Mills

Last Tuesday night in Algona, the Eagle Grove varsity volleyball team lost in three sets to Bishop Garrigan by scores of 25-14, 25-13 and 25-19. Team serving was just over 95 percent, with Tori Huntley and Laine Morgan both going 8 of 8 with Tori getting an ace. Kenzie Crail went 8 of 9, Hannah Beecher 5 of 6 and both Hannah Demory and Hannah Huntley 4 of 4. Emmy Huse was 2 of 2.

Morgan set the ball for seven assists, with Crail leading the attack at six kills. Beecher pounded two spikes for points and Demory one. Crail made double digits in digs by scooping up 13, followed by Beecher with eight and H. Huntley, T. Huntley and Morgan all with six apiece. Huse made two saves of the ball and Brittney Osborn one. Beecher made three block assists in defense at the net, with H. Huntley getting in on two and Huse one.
