Eagles lose to West Hancock

Last Friday night in a home contest, the Eagle Grove boys varsity basketball team lost a 73-48 decision to the Eagles of West Hancock. The visitors held a strong 40-15 advantage at the break.

“This was a big gut-check game for us,” stated head coach Ryan Pedersen. “I think the boys would tell you that we were embarrassed when we went up to Britt earlier this season. Overall, I thought we worked pretty hard. We had one stretch in the second quarter that we lost our focus and got away from our game plan. These boys have a lot of potential, and we as a coaching staff need to continue to praise them and let them know we believe in them. The only thing that’s missing is them believing in themselves.”
