Eagles lose to Tigers

The Eagle Grove football team was no match for the home Tigers of South Hardin last Friday in a 67-0 loss in their final non-district matchup. Roberto Calles tried hard to do his share in gaining 66 yards on 19 attempts (3.5-yard average). Jake Darland rushed for 26 yards on nine carries and Joel Mendoza 14 yards on 14 attempts.

Darland finished at two of seven for 25 yards under center with two picks. Preston Huntley caught a pass for 18 yards and Nick Huntley one for seven yards. Francisco Gonzalez kicked off once for 42 yards and booted four punts for a 32.8- yard average. Nick Huntley returned five kicks for a 21.2-yard average, Calles three kicks for a 15 yard average and Gonzalez one kick for eight yards.
