Eagles fly to first place at Gilbert Invitational

The Eagle Grove boys cross country team competed in the class B race at the Gilbert invitational yesterday. The unranked Eagles flew past two top ten ranked 2A teams, 4th ranked Shenandoah and 6th ranked North Polk. Carter Asche placed fifth overall, while transfer student Macaulay King finished ninth. Eagles Brett Maier, Colton Pickering, Ben Thompson finished 15th, 16th and 17th to roundup the scoring at 59 points. The Eagles next invitational is next Tuesday in Webster City.
